Three bits of news: First off, I recently got my first real studio. (pics here: [link] ) It's not the big multi-artist space that may have I told some of you about (that hasn't come together just yet) but rather a little solo space. I plan to take part in Baltimore's open studio weekend later in the year but am happy to have visitors in the meantime. The location is right next to the Senator Theater and Belvedere Square, so if you find yourself heading in that direction and want to stop by and see what I'm working on drop me a line and set up an appointment.

Secondly, I have two shows coming up this Summer: A solo show and a group show. The solo show will be my second at The Yellow Dog Tavern. Last year's show was all about dogs. This year it will be about the way people interact with animals and will feature a variety of emotions and experiences. The dates are July 1-28, with a reception on July 15 from 6-8pm. All are invited! The Yellow Dog Tavern is on at 700 Potomac St, just south of Patterson Park. Just like last year, 5% of sales will be donated to a local animal rescue group.

The group show is the my second with the Towson Artists Group, although the show isn't in Towson this year. It's at Adornment Gallery in Hampden/Woodberry's Clipper Mill complex. The dates for that show are June 7 through July 12, with a reception June 7 from 3 to 6pm. I'll be featuring a selection of figurative paintings from the Towson Artists Group and from elsewhere.
